What We Believe, What We Do, and How We Make It Real
At Centro T.S. Borges, we believe that education is the most powerful gift we can offer — and the most dignified path toward a better future. This project is our way of taking that gift into our own hands and placing it directly in the lives of the young people who need it most.
We envision a world where literature is no longer a privilege. Stories belong to those who tell them — and for too long, the stories of the underserved have been told by those who never lived their reality. Through workshops in poetry and fiction, through shared spaces and cultural exchange, we create a place where young Bolivians can read, reflect, and reclaim their voice.
This isn’t a charity. It’s an invitation — to slow down, to think deeply, and to connect across borders through the transformative power of literature.

Mission
Centro T.S. Borges empowers underserved youth in La Paz, Bolivia, through free literature workshops led by international interns and volunteers. By connecting global readers with local students, we promote close reading, cultural exchange, and a love for stories that transcend borders and generations.
Vision
To create a world where young people — regardless of background — have the opportunity to engage deeply with literature, discover the power of language, and develop the critical thinking skills needed to shape their own future.
