Literary Program: Borges & Eliot
The T.S. Borges Literary Program
Our literary program is inspired by two voices that reshaped modern literature: Jorge Luis Borges and T.S. Eliot. Their works cross borders, languages, and generations—making them the perfect foundation for a global educational initiative.
-
Jorge Luis Borges: His short stories invite students to explore infinite libraries, labyrinths of identity, and the power of imagination. Through Borges, participants learn to think critically, question reality, and discover how literature can open new ways of understanding the world.
-
T.S. Eliot: His poetry offers a bridge between tradition and modernity, blending deep cultural roots with universal questions about time, faith, and meaning. Through Eliot’s work, students practice English while engaging with themes that remain as relevant today as when they were written.
How it works
Workshops are led by international volunteers and students who, while not experts, act as facilitators of dialogue and shared discovery. Together with local participants, they read, discuss, and reinterpret texts—turning literature into a space for reflection, language learning, and cultural exchange.
Our program is not about memorizing texts, but about using Borges and Eliot as starting points for creativity, debate, and personal growth.
